About
Gallery Joeun presents “BECOMING,” a solo exhibition by Kwon Yong-rae (b. 1964), October 1–31. It shows 16 new works by an artist who has long explored the relationship between light and metal, crossing the boundaries of painting, sculpture and installation. Hundreds to thousands of stainless steel units are layered on the canvas, forming images only when they meet light, and the scene keeps changing with the viewer’s position.
